Reception children need to keep their PE kit in school

The uniform can now be purchased from Rawcliffes, Darley Street.  It can also be purchased without the logo from some supermarkets.

If your child is entitled to free school meals, the vouchers will be distributed sometime this week.

Reminder:  Year 5 will begin their swimming lessons tomorrow.  They will need to bring their swimming costume and towel to school every Tuesday.  If your child forgets their swimming kit, phone calls will be made.

Reporting your child absent

This year we will again be having a big push on attendance.  The children are expected in school every day.  Children are not allowed to take leave from school.  If you do take your child out of school then you may be prosecuted and fined £80 per child per parent.  In some cases you could be fined £2,500 per child per parent and receive a criminal record.

Mrs. Spafford and Mrs. Khambhaita will be monitoring all children and if they have any concerns regarding a child’s attendance, the parents will be invited to a meeting.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please do not ring the school number but ring or send a text to:

07938742883.

If I have not received a reason for your child’s absence, I will be contacting you from this number.

Milk Money

Our new supplier is called Cool Milk If you wish to register your child for milk, please go to their website: www.coolmilk.com.

Breakfast Club

We have places available at Breakfast Club.  Doors open at 8.00 a.m. and the cost is 50p per day.

Valuable Items

If your child brings their phone, house keys, bus pass, or wears a smart watch, they need to hand them into the office where the items will be locked away.  Your child will then need to collect them at the end of the day.

Children in Years 5 and 6

If you wish your child to walk to and from school by themselves, please   collect a form from our reception office and complete it.  Please be aware the form does not mean they will be able to be responsible for a younger sibling.

Secondary School Applications

Children in Yr. 6 will receive the information needed to apply for secondary school sometime next week for September 2025. If you have any problems, please see Mrs. Spafford.
