Well Done!

As part of the Year 6 IT curriculum and in conjunction with the GoIt project (Tata IT Solutions), Year 6 have been designing and making Artificial Intelligence mobile phone apps.

Four of our amazing Year 6 children journeyed to The Co-op Head Office at Angel Square in Manchester, where they presented their AI product for solving a problem relating to climate change.  We were in competition with other Co-op primary schools across the Trust, and we came first!

Their presentation was amazing, and they wowed the professional industry panel with their idea for an app which measured the carbon miles travelled by products to reach the shelves of shops.

We will now progress to the international GoIT finals where we will again present our ideas, only this time up against schools from countries such as India, USA, Germany and many others.

We are very excited and proud of them to be representing our school on a global stage!
