Spring Bank Half Term
The school closes today for the Spring Bank Half Term break. The school will re-open on Monday 10th June.
Hope you all have a lovely and safe holiday.
Day of Welcome
On Friday 14th June the children and staff can come to school dressed in cultural clothes for a donation of £1.00. All monies raised will go to the Refugee Council. This is an organisation which supports refugees and asylum seekers.
Miss Garner will also be making some changes to the school menu to fit around the theme for the day.
Book Swap
The book swap box will be moved to the KS2 corridor after the holidays. We encourage pupils to bring in any books they would like to swap next half term. When a child has finished a book, they can swap it for another.
Friends of Penny Oaks
To discuss the Summer Fair, there will be a meeting on 11th June. More information will be sent nearer the time.
Year 4 Fair-trade Stall
After focusing on the sustainable development goals this half-term, Year 4 held a fair-trade stall to raise awareness about fair trade products. They made rice crispy buns using fair trade chocolate, and powered a smoothie bike to make smoothies using fair trade products.
