On the evening of Thursday 13th March we held our first Community Iftar.  The event brought our community together to break a fast together during the holy month of Ramadan. 

The event was well attended by parents, children and staff. Everyone had a great time breaking their fast together and joining prayers. 

No food was wasted with families taking leftovers home with them and the remainder being given to a local business to distribute to the homeless community later that evening. 

Zakat, Fitrana and Sadaqah collections were taken and nearly £120 was raised in total for Islamic Relief. 

One of our parents who attended the event said, "This has been such a lovely event, I hope that you do this next year as I would love to come again!"
